At first glance an 'Easy Rider' style of bike. The line is clean, with its individual seat and high handlebar but it's not uncomfortable even on long journeys. It is powerful and manageable as soon as you begin to feel the engine thrust and one of its great virtues is the performance on the road.

When you take the first curves you need to adapt to the geometry but then everything is easy and fluid. It accelerates easily, you can enjoy the relaxing driving. As your seat is relatively low it provides a lot of security in manoeuvres at low speed or in town.

In addition remember that it incorporates the Big Twin engine with 6-speed box which allows you to ride long routes, but also its size and height make it an ideal bike for every kind of use either in the city or on shorter journeys.

The 2009 model incorporates a number of changes such as a chopped rear fender and a retro tail light with the authentic Fat Bob fuel tank and wrinkle-black trim. The power train also receives a new black and silver finish with highlighted fins.

This Softail® introduced last year is a different bike for many reasons.

It has Springer forks and ape-hanger handlebars that make the name Cross Bones very special. It's a very personal machine with a quality finish that is something else in the legendary Springer family.

This is a radical bike stripped down to the bone. The ride is not uncomfortable and feels very special. The Springer forks absorb bumps and irregularities - no problem. In the curves given the size of their tires, braking is good for the type of fork and single-piston caliper, but you need to be ready with the rear brake pedal to avoid problems.

You'll notice something different about the ride and the feel that goes back to the basics.

Before you drive this bike you would almost think that it's the one that sets the pace but nothing is further from the truth. As soon as you start to roll all the weight and size appear to be reduced. As you set off vibration is minimal and reduces to go completely unnoticed in motion. There are changes to the frame and the incorporation of the 180/65/16 rear tire on a wheel of 127 mm (5 inches.) Also the wheelbase is increased by 13 mm (1 / 2 inch.). This gives a ride that is very comfortable and above all safe, allowing you to enjoy the Touring Family not only on autoroutes but also on the long sweeping curves of the highway.

Acceleration performance is improved on all 2009 Touring models due to a lower final drive ratio, as a 68-tooth rear sprocket replaces the previous 66-tooth sprocket. Riding on the road in fourth and fifth speed can handle most roads. Only if we start taking tighter curves do we need to think about which gear to choose.

A new one-piece welded exhaust header features a 2-into-1-into-2 design and features new routing to enhance rider and passenger comfort. The rear pipe is restyled and now curves forward of the transmission. A new single-piece front exhaust shield replaces the previous two-piece shield and eliminates a gap that exposed the exhaust pipe on the previous exhaust system. The revised exhaust routing and other new features combine to deliver comfort for the long haul in a variety of environments.
